If you visit El Dorado Hills, you will surely spot several of the iconic landmarks that define this community. The Town Center, the Serrano Visitors Center, the sign on the bluff off the 50 freeway; all landmarks that let you know that you are visiting El Dorado Hills. Locals however, can explain the lesser known but infinitely more interesting El Dorado Hills Rocks!
The EDH Rocks are a designated space for celebration and expression. On any given day you will see people actively painting one of the rocks. Graduations, birthdays, congratulations, memorials, holidays, and any and all types of expression are proudly proclaimed from the EDH Rocks. There is no formal control or sign up list for this truly local form of communication. Typically the painting happens late in the week and stays up thru the weekend before the next sign goes up.
The EDH Rocks have been a fixture in the community since the late nineties. In fact, they had to be re-located to make way for building and are currently located along El Dorado Hills Blvd. They sit below an open space that is utilized by the The El Dorado Hills Bowman.
