My daughter is my heart. She cares about people and their feelings and thrives on being social. She is fiercely loyal and protects the relationships in her life. She is a top student and enjoys the praise that comes from her accomplishments. I Thank God often for giving me a child that is determined and assured. I search my memory and just can’t remember being as driven and confident at age eleven. I love the fact that she has a point of view and is not afraid to express it. She is an only child that my wife and I had later in life. Sometimes I envy larger families but I always Thank God for putting my daughter in my life.
My mom is the best. I would imagine that most people feel the same about their mom. Throughout my life, everyone who meets my mom always says the same thing. “Your mom is so nice!” People would always comment on her ability to make them feel like they were special. It didn’t matter who it was – a family member, an acquaintance, or even just a complete stranger. My mom would make them feel great. Most people don’t even realize her secret. It is so simple but also so rare in today’s world.
She listens – she cares – she genuinely takes an interest in others.
Any ability that I have to listen and empathize with people comes directly from my mom. In business it is so important to listen to your customer and to take a genuine interest in helping them meet their needs.
