I just received the new performance catalogue from Three Stages at Folsom Lake College. I must admit that while I was aware that the venue had opened this spring, I wasn’t fully aware of exactly what the venue had to offer. This is the inaugural 2011 – 2012 season and there is a little something for everyone. Acts like Kris Kristofferson, The Miles Davis Experience, Dana Carvey, The Folsom Symphony, and a personal favorite, STOMP.
How cool is it that we have a regional performance arts facility right here in Folsom, CA. This 80,000 square foot complex includes one of the regions largest recording studios, an art gallery, and educational facilities. The name itself, Three Stages describes the three different types of stages on site. Stage One is an 850 seat theater complete with a full stage house and orchestra pit. Stage Two is 200 seat City Studio theater with gently raked seating. And finally, Stage Three is a 100 seat intimate setting for acoustic music and vocals. You can check out the seating maps for all three stages here.
In order for this new venue to get off the ground, we need to support it. Isn’t it refreshing to see something great come to Folsom. Lets all buy a ticket and let’s support the arts in our own town!
