Let the spring real estate season begin!
Like runners at the beginning of a race we gaze down the track into the distance. Armed with home prices rolled back 10 years, and historically low interest rates, we place our feet in the blocks. We are ready to begin the spring market and yes, “hope springs eternal.”
In any competitive environment, belief is a powerful ally. With belief we can do anything. We can tackle insurmountable odds, we can push forward in the face of defeat, and we can dream of winning – ignoring any evidence to the contrary.
So forgive me this small bit of hope. This spring it feels different. Do you sense it? The phone is ringing. The fence sitters are getting down and into the game. Sure, the number of listed homes is low making competition fierce, but the feeling pervades. For the first time in many years, I actually believe some of the annual real estate hyperbole — it just might be a “great time to buy!”
Hope springs eternal – definition
People always hope for the best, even in the face of adversity. This saying is from “An Essay on Man,”
by Alexander Pope.
