The New York Creek Trail runs from the El Dorado Hills Community Services District all the way to the bridge crossing to Jackson Elementary. Many folks in EDH use it it for walking, bike riding, and for enjoying nature. The CSD is going to be cleaning and widening the trail in the coming months to make it more accessible for everyone. Another reason to love El Dorado Hills.
If you live in the communities that surround Folsom Lake, the water level is a frequent conversation. My friend Curt turned me on to this page that is maintained by the Department of Water Resources. It displays the current water levels in the 12 California Reservoirs. It’s great for a layman like me because it’s in graphic form and easy to read. It seems to update several times per week and I keep it saved on my phone. This way I can pull it up whenever the conversation comes up.
Check it out!
