If you travel east to the end of Serrano Parkway you will come to a 3-way stop at Bass Lake Road. Head south and you connect to US 50 or go north and hook up with Green Valley Road. I wonder how often residents pass this spot with one destination in mind — the grocery market.
If you have sat at this 3-way stop of late you may have noticed the unmistakable signs of construction. Mostly it’s just backhoes so far but you get the point. It begs the question — I wonder what they’re building?
My friend Katie DeGunther with Orange Coast Title shared this ‘map’ that shows a plan for commercial real estate right at that very spot. I claim no special knowledge or any inside scoop. Just the obvious, beginning signs of construction and the hope for upper Serrano residents…
A grocery market in upper Serrano gets my vote!
From that 3-way stop, here are your current grocery market options.
- Nugget Market or Raley’s in El Dorado Hills | 4.3 miles.
- Bel Air Market in Cameron Park | 5.2 miles.
- Safeway in El Dorado Hills | 5.9 miles.
I know many people that love where they live, but would dearly love the convenience of a local market.
